First off, when you process your data, you'll want to select the option to "Image presentations with Notes" in order to include any hidden text as required by the DOJ specifications. This setting is turned off by default.

Preparing Data in Compliance with SEC Standards
Indexed I/O is your key to success, especially when it comes to tricky requests from the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). We’ll walk you through how to easily prepare compliant data, one step at a time.  View the step-by-step process HERE.

The SEC also requires a cover letter to be included with each production which must include the following information:

  • Case number, case name and requesting SEC staff member name

  • A list of each piece of media included in the production with its unique production volume number

  • A list of custodians, identifying the Bates range for each custodian

  • The time zone in which the emails were standardized during conversion

An example cover letter can be downloaded at this link: ExampleCoverLetter.docx

If you have any questions during the process contact us at Support@Indexed.io. You can also review the full set of SEC specifications HERE.

Designed with simplicity and efficiency in mind, Indexed I/O is the future of eDiscovery.
